At the Annual Construction Law Conference you and your colleagues are learning from the best in the business\, period. \n\nHotel Information\nThe La Cantera Resort & Spa (16641 La Cantera Parkway\, San Antonio\, TX 78256) is our host hotel for the conference. As of January 3\, 2023\, the group room block was filled to capacity with early-bird registrants but the status of the room block changes daily and rooms will only be provided on a space and rate-available basis going forward. If you plan to attend\, we encourage you to secure a reservation at a nearby venue as soon as possible. You may also consider contacting The La Cantera Resort directly near the end of January or early February to see if any availability has opened due to cancellations occurring within the room block for the 36th Annual Construction Law Conference. Also note that additional parking areas are being made available at The La Cantera Resort during the conference to better accommodate drive-in attendance. \n\nGeneral Information\nPre-Registration — To ensure sufficient materials are available for all attendees\, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Registrations submitted after 5:00pm CST February 17\, 2023  are subject to an additional $250 fee. Advance registration will close on February 22\, 2023. Registrations after February 22 will only be accepted onsite at the door registration rate with a second additional $250 fee. Door registrations will not have the option to receive printed materials onsite and will receive the USB drive materials only. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY! \nMaterials Options —  Your registration automatically includes the USB drive version of the conference materials. If you wish to also receive the printed 3-ring binder version\, you may purchase both for an extra fee. NOTE: Printed binders purchased in advance will be provided with your name badge and conference materials. Binders purchased onsite will be shipped to you 2-3 weeks afterward. Audio CD recordings of the major sessions will be available after the event and are available for pre-purchase. \nRegistration Options — Secure online registration is open below. Golf-only registrations will not be allowed. \nCancellations and Refunds — Refunds\, less a $50 processing fee\, will be given to registrants who cancel by 5:00 p.m. Central on the Friday preceding the conference. No refunds will be granted thereafter. Course materials and audio CDs will automatically be mailed to prepaid registrants who did not receive a refund and were not able to attend. \nSpecial Accommodations — If special arrangements are required for a person with a disability to attend this program\, please contact us at (512) 451-6960. \n\nMCLE Information\nEarn up to 12.25 Hours MCLE credit including 3.75 Hours Ethics! \nThis course is pending approval for 12.25 hours credit (including 3.75 hours of ethics credit) which if approved will apply towards MCLE\, the College of the State Bar of Texas\, and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Construction Law\, Civil Trial Law and Real Estate Law. \nTo obtain full MCLE credit\, you must attend all sessions\, including the luncheons. If you need CLE credit in a state other than Texas\, please let us know at registration. CPAs may obtain 14.70 hours of CPE credit toward licensing with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Grasping the assignability of construction contracts is complicated and requires understanding the complex intersection of judge-made law\, contract and statutory law\, and equity. This presentation will address the basics for assigning construction contracts and claims\, and the most common assignment-related quirks that affect construction practitioners.
